Intro to Photography - Final
Our final project for Photography revolved around a single topic that we were passionate about and would allow us to develop a signature style that represents us as artists. I chose the concept of night photography, special effects lighting, and incorporated my love(?) of biking into it.

Intro to Photography - Week 9
It has been a while since I last posted photos for this class, but here they are.
This week's homework assignment was to photograph a CD Booklet (8 pages total) for an artist that emphasizes the concept of mood. The song that I chose to influence my photographs is called Icarus by Mythos. (Listen to the song here.)
Unfortunately, I only ended up with 6 of the 8 photos that revolve around a theme. My advice is that if you are going to shoot photos for a project, make sure to shoot them all in the same day and in the same place. Don't try to shoot the rest on another day because it's a pain to try and match lighting conditions and subject matter.

Intro to Photography - Week 4
This week's HW assignment was to take 3 photographs that emulate a photographer's style. I chose to emulate the contemporary photographer, Mark Peterman. Examples of his photographs can be found on the website: workbook.com. (Just enter his name in the search box to view his portfolio work.)
I focused mainly on his architectural photographs, deciding to emphasize patterns and repetition.

HW Assignment for Week 3 - Natural Light Portraits
This week we were required to take self portraits in natural lighting conditions. Definitely not a favorite topic of mine, but here are a few portraits that I was able to take. (The middle one is my fav...)

HW Assignment for Week 2 - Dealing with Shutterspeed to Capture Motion Blur
Spent a night in our neighborhood shooting some photos of the cars driving by and their light trails. (Guess I looked a bit suspicious wearing my hoodie while standing next to my camera and tripod near the top of the hill. A few cars slowed down and one decided to reverse and go down a different street...)

Winter 2013 - Intro to Photography
So I started taking an intro to photography class as one of my electives for the Winter 2013 quarter. It's a lot more work than I thought it was going to be, but I hope that it'll give me a background foundation to pursue a career as a Location Scout.
This post is mostly to keep track of my progress for the next 11 weeks.

Fall 2012 - Material & Lighting Final
Finished the Fall 2012 Quarter with this Final for my Material & Lighting Class with Linh at the Art Institute of California - San Francisco. Modeled this Coffee Shop Concept in Maya 2012 and textured it using Photoshop CS6. I'm pretty happy with the Final Renders, but I definitely need to play with the lighting and shadow settings more. (I also need to model the missing two-way flow nozzle, located under the espresso machine filter...)
