Fall 2012 - Material & Lighting Final

Finished the Fall 2012 Quarter with this Final for my Material & Lighting Class with Linh at the Art Institute of California - San Francisco. Modeled this Coffee Shop Concept in Maya 2012 and textured it using Photoshop CS6. I'm pretty happy with the Final Renders, but I definitely need to play with the lighting and shadow settings more. (I also need to model the missing two-way flow nozzle, located under the espresso machine filter...)

Digital Paintings - Object Studies

Finally got around to making a couple of digital paintings using Photoshop CS5. These are just object study paintings made for my Material & Lighting Class this quarter (Fall 2012), so it's nothing too fancy. (Focused mostly on 3 layers: Color, Shadows, and Highlights.) Behold, a mini hand-crank flashlight, an owl container, and a Bento Box.

Motion Graphics Projects 1 and 2 - Spring 2012

These are the first two projects that I have made for my Motion Graphics Class with Greg Lemon. I created the majority of the assets using Adobe Photoshop, Flash, and After Affects CS5/CS5.5.

Handmade Sketchbook Project

Today I found an awesome tutorial on how to make a sketchbook from scrap materials. I had a huge 18 x 24 drawing pad that I stopped using because of its sheer size, so I decided to take those unused pages and make a smaller sketchbook with them. So far, I have the signatures that are bound with thread. I am currently unsure what I would like my sketchbook covers to look like, so I will spend the next few days pondering the final product design.

Really new to this whole blogging thing, so I guess I'll start by posting this. Created this creature painting in Photoshop CS5 during my first week of Digital Ink and Paint class (Winter 2012). Definitely want to work on my digital painting skills at some point. It seems like a fun hobby to pick up. :)
